Croatia 2025
A week from Trogir through the islands of central Dalmatia.
Sailing trips / Croatia 2025 sailed
In 2025 we started from Trogir for the first time. The marina lies right opposite the old town; once moored you are among the old lanes in a five-minute walk.
Central Dalmatia packs everything a sailing trip needs into a small area: lively harbours such as Hvar and Milna, quiet anchorages on Šolta and fresh fish in a konoba in the evening.
The route
A typical week in this area. We decide the actual route on board, depending on weather and crew. ≈ 108 nm.
- Day 1Trogir → Maslinica (Šolta) 10 nm
Shake-down sail, safety briefing and a first evening in the sheltered bay of Maslinica.
- Day 2Maslinica → Pakleni Islands / Hvar 20 nm
South with the maestral. Anchor off the Pakleni otoci with a view of Hvar fortress in the evening.
- Day 3Hvar → Vis 18 nm
Crossing to the outermost island. Vis was a military zone for decades and is still unspoilt today.
- Day 4Vis → Komiža → Biševo 8 nm
Round Vis to Komiža, then early morning to the Blue Cave on Biševo.
- Day 5Komiža → Milna (Brač) 28 nm
The longest leg of the week, usually with a good breeze. Milna is one of the finest natural harbours in Dalmatia.
- Day 6Milna → Nečujam (Šolta) 10 nm
A short hop and a last swimming day in a quiet bay.
- Day 7Nečujam → Trogir 14 nm
Back to Trogir, refuel and hand the boat back on Friday evening.
Good to know
- Trogir marina is on the island of Čiovo, connected to the old town by a bridge.
- Fridays are busy in Trogir: all charter boats return at once, so come in and refuel early.
- Not every bay has water and diesel. Plan fuel stops in Milna, Hvar and Vis.
