IJsselmeer

The IJsselmeer is the opposite of the Mediterranean. Shallow water, changeable weather and plenty of traffic make it a great training ground.

Between Marken, Volendam and the old harbour towns on the shore, every leg is short. In the evening there is fresh kibbeling right on the quay.

If you sail safely here, you are well prepared for almost any cruising area.
